First issue Wehrpass  to Obergefreiter Alfred Fleischhauer. He was born on the 3rd of May 1908 at Kassel.

 

Fleischhauer started his active military career in June 1940 with the Infanterie-Nachrichten-Ersatz Kompanie mot. 29 at Erfurt.

 

He was trained with the K98 . He completed an additional training as Funker and obtained the Wehrmachtführerschein Klasse II.

 

He was promoted  to Gefreiter on the first of December 1941. On the first of July 1942 he received his last promotion as Obergefreiter.

 

His Wehrpass shows a large battle calendar while serving in the Stab of the 299. Infanterie Division

e.g. Charkow, Belgorod, Kursk, Orelbogen, Gomel

 

Obergefreiter Alfred Fleisschhauer was KIA on the 25th of March 1944 in Belarus.

 

He was awarded  the  Ostmedaille on the 12th of August 1942.

 

In addition there's a picture of his grave (8 cm x 13cm), feldpostbrief to his wife for Easter, letter of the Kompaniechef to his wife after he was KIA. A document (folded, some traces of aging) with best wishes for 1944 and an overview of the division's achievements and decoartions for 1943 with facsimile signature of General Ralph Graf von Oriala.
