First issue Wehrpass to Fallschirmjäger Gefreiter Werner Kurt Hahn. He was born on the 21st of February 1924 at Kleinkühnau, Dessau.
Hahn started his active military career in March 1942 as a volunteer for the paratroopers with the Fallschirm-Pionier-Bataillon (FPN 09470) stationed at Dessau-Kochstedt.
He was trained with the K98, Maschinengewehr 34, MP 38 and MP40, Pistole 08,. He completed an additional training as Pionier.
Hahn was promoted to Gefreiter on the first of March 1943.
After his training with the Fallschirmjäger-Pionier-Btl. at Dessau (FPN 24377) from 10.3.1942 till 17.6.1942 he was transferred to the 3./Fallschirmjäger Pionier Btl., which was part of the 7. Flieger-Division.
Gefreiter Hahn was KIA on the 21st of March 1943 at Mesejenki and was burried at Tverdy (Oblast Smolensk). Later he was reburried at the War Cemetary of Duchowschtschina
His promotion and KIA-entry were signed by Hauptmann and Kompaniechef Andreas Steiner.
The wehrpass comes with the letter of the Wehrmachtauskunftstelle für Kriegerverluste und Kriegsgefangene beim Oberkommando der Wehrmacht send to his father.
