He was decorated with the U-Boat War Badge.
 
U-725 was sunk on the 23rd of May 1943 in the North Atlantic by rockets from a Swordfish aircraft (819 Sqn FAA/G) of the British escort carrier HMS Archer. 
 
Rudi Mitlmeier: Gefreiter in einer Panzerjäger-Kompanie. He was decorated with the EK2, Tank Assault Badge and Wound Badge. He was KIA on the 13th of July 1943 at the Eastern Front.
